As Alan Kay said, “the best way to predict the future it to invent it.” Let’s invent high-level systems – not languages – that the average high school educated person can “manipulate” and “program” – systems that are based upon declarative ideas. Clear Lake-based One Vision recently received a three-year accreditation from Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, or CARF, following a three-day onsite visit in October. The review included a look at programs, services, employment, policies and procedures. The evaluation highlighted One Vision’s "dedication, compassion, and enthusiasm for the services they provide," according to a release. One Vision, which provides personal and employment supports for individuals with disabilities in 30 Iowa communities, has been accredited by CARF since the 1980s.
