Any business that does not monitory it’s activity in real time is playing with dice and taking too many chances. Collaborative systems enable much of business activity to be “monitored”. However, monitoring is not enough. Data is useless unless it’s processed and analyzed somehow. Information is power as the saying goes and getting the right information to the right people as fast as possible – or at the right time – is critical.

The SciFi story is compelling as well. The initial mission puts six astronauts on Mars, and you–and they–simply know not all of them will make it. The odds are too stacked against them, with life support and energy systems having to be deployed and functional prior to their arrival; with the touchdown actually succeeding, close enough to the target to actually count; with a source of life-sustaining water needing to be located; and a suitable solar-shielded habitat having to be deployed underground.

My single favorite feature of the 11-inch iPad Pro is its slightly wider display. Most iPads use a 1.33:1 aspect ratio, but the 11-inch Pro has a 1.43:1 screen with a 2,388 by 1,668 resolution — enough to give you a little extra room for a multitasking app, or fill more of the screen with a widescreen movie rather than black bars. These changes make the 11-inch model a particularly fantastic (if expensive) video player. For better or worse, the 12.9-inch iPad sticks with the same 2,732 by 2,048 resolution and 1.33:1 aspect ratio as its two predecessors, now slightly cramped with a “swipe up” reminder bar at the bottom of the screen.
