The motor was most likely optimized for low production cost rather then high efficiency. Also i see no evidence that this motor design had anything to do with the fate of the company, if they got bought up, many would consider it a sucess?

I chose a break action in-line because I hated the time and effort to clean my old model, which shot best if I cleaned it after every firing.
