I’ll point out one inaccuracy in the article though: Cydia is not the replacement for Installer.app, rather it is an alternative that is based on Debian apt. I won’t say one is any better than the other as they both work very well for me.

The real boost to the macro economy will come from the boost in performance in teams of people that use highly effective collaborative software and communication systems. Once these teams of people are empowered within and across corporate boundaries massive improvements can occur. However, a larger more powerful economic force exists in the massive numbers of small businesses that will benefit even more since even tiny improvements in performance can mean the difference between staying in business and making a profit. The benefits of collaborative systems will enable “collaborative” teams or “virtual businesses” to form for specific projects. The ones that succeed may continue to form longer-term business relationships with their highly integrated and customized systems. Some of these will aggregate into larger more permanent businesses when it’s economically advantageous to do so. Look out big boys.

Don’t you realize that they introduce artificial limitations for the sole purpose of nickel and dimeing you? You can expect this from the cell phone industry, but now it is making its way into the computer industry as your iPhone IS a computer. Expecting that type of behavior is okay, accepting it is not.

Jay M. Thomas was recognized as the Iowa Physician Assistant of the Year by the Iowa Physician Assistant Society at the group’s fall medical education conference. He was recognized for his patient care and for educating medical professionals. Thomas received a similar award from the American Academy of Physician Assistants earlier this year.
